You might already know exercise and fitness is important to a healthy lifestyle, but it can be confusing to figure out whether you should be on a cardio regiment or weight-lifting for strength-building. Interval training is a mixture of short bursts of intense training, followed by resting cycles of less strenuous muscle toning, like mixing sprinting and walking.

Least likely candidates in the exercise and fitness craze arena, includes the stripper pole dancing workouts, inflatable exercise equipment craze and even the Swiss Ball workout has become better known. Dancing is an easy and fun way to burn calories and get in shape, but it has always been a popular part of those that like to stay in shape and socialize at the same time!

While your definition of exercise and fitness might be walking around the block each day or just jumping rope and working out with a few strategic floor exercises, there seems to be no end to the video instruction demonstrations, when it comes to a different type of workout for better fitness. Of course, you just need a video to start learning rumba, zumba, salsa and mambo!

It doesn’t matter whether you like water aerobics or you sign up for exercise and fitness boot camps, more people are finding ways to get fit. That means there are all different kinds of exercise and fitness programs to help you meet your goals, whether you use conventional methods or try some of the latest crazes and equipment that comes with them. What about the Indo board? Invented by a surfer, there are a lot of surfing exercises that go with it, requiring a little practice and a lot of patience. You can improve your core muscles, by improving your balance and coordination, but it can be a great leg workout.

Pilates and kickboxing were popular in recent years, but celebrities are taking the exercise and fitness crazes to new levels. Have you heard of power plates? A power plate machine is a heavy-duty vibrating machine, causing your muscles to contract as much as 50 times a second, but it costs less than $1000 on the Internet. Wasn’t it not long ago that the fat-vibrating machines had a belt and you always pictured a fat women being jiggled vigorously? The principle is similar, but power plates are supposed to cut down exercise time by 75%, while reducing cellulite. Sign me up!
